ABOUT
Hi everybody. I’m a singer/guitarist/songwriter. I’ve been playing the Maryland, DC, Virginia area since I was a teenager and currently play about 70 shows a year. I perform solo and also with my good friend Eric Wolf (lead guitar) in the Mike Mead & Eric Wolf Duo. My biggest inspirations come from the 70’s era of music from artists like Elton John to Kiss to Led Zeppelin. I began gigging locally when I was 16 years old and played in many projects before becoming the front man of Frankie and the Actions with my good friend Frankie Clarke. My journey with music through the years has taken me so many places with great memories and meeting new people.
Currently, I’m doing my regular solo acoustic show. In addition to that, Eric Wolf (lead guitar) and I perform regularly as Mike Mead/Eric Wolf Duo.

Dead nuts middle of summer. Blowing by like a formula race car. Death at every turn. Malcolm Jamal Warner, Ozzy, Hulk Hogan, Chuck Mangione. I can only imagine what it was like fifty years ago, let’s say, when the stars of the day started to pass on into history. We are witnessing that with our generation. Bowie, Eddie Van Halen, Glen Campbell, Whitney Houston. It’s a thinker for sure. So…What does one do ? LIVE. Take care of your health. Get some exercise. DO. Get out there and mix it up. BE. An evening on the couch doing laundry and fading in and out with the TV is so important lol.
Have a great rest of your summer. My spine/leg issues are also fading into history. I feel like I’ve turned a corner for the better. I’m still off the booze, closing in on two and a half years dry, if anybody gives a shit, do your thing. Hell, I did.
Eric Wolf tells me I’m a collector of souls. If you’re reading this, you’re in my collection. I love you like you don’t know.
